Walkin'

Saturday, March 07, 2009

Adeline is getting bigger every day. She is such a little lady now. She will sit and "read" books for quite some time. Her great-grandma's rocking chair is the perfect spot. She is also getting very close to walking. She can stand on her own and do complex things while standing like looking at her tummy. But when it comes to taking steps she either insists on the moral support of one of mommy or daddy's fingers or she plops down and crawls.

Well today is the day. This is the scene at our house. The ole broad is looking pretty good these days. Sarah and I have been pouring our hearts and souls into making here look that way. If you'd like to take a look at the listing, go to howardhanna.com and search for listings on Hyde Park Ave. We have about 4 months left until we move to Traverse City. Those of you who know me for more than 25 years (and that narrows it down to about 5 people who read this blog) know how I feel about the ole "For Sale" sign in the yard of my house. I feel I've gotten better over the years about dealing with such a powerful symbol of complete life change. It still holds trepidation for me, but it also shows the promise of a new life for my family and me. Adeline will have lots of open spaces to run around in (that's assuming she learns how) and Sarah and I can expand our gardens to our hearts content. So over all its a good symbol to me. As long as we can sell it. Karen, three is a much better number than two. Do you want to have a satillite home in Ohio?
