Spring Time is Busy

OK, so I need to update this blog. I realized that Bo had updated his more recently than mine and that is just plain unacceptable. We've been very busy getting this house ready to no longer be our house. We've had 4 inspections so far and we have two more to go. Each inspector needs to find their own things to zing us on. I think they actually look at the previous inspections and think "I can find a few more things, otherwise me being here is pointless." The city inspections are over and I am proud to say that this 88 year old house is violation free. We have a pest inspection on Thursday and then a final private inspection on Saturday just to see if we did the stuff we promised to do. It's hard to imagine that in three weeks we will be living in a new house. Our official move date is June 5th. We will be homeless for the night and get possession of our new place on June 6th. If you're curious, yes, my last day of school is June 5th. We get out of work at noon, and I'm hittin' the road. No pressure there, eh?

Adeline is growing up amazingly fast. It seems spring has the same growth effects on her as it does on the vegetation. She is no longer a baby, but rather a very astute little girl. She picks up new words every day. The latest super cute phrase is that when she hands you something, she often says, "here ya go." It really makes you realize that she is listening to everything you say. I'm also happy to say that she seems to have lost interest in all her toys. I'm happy to say that because she has replaced that curiosity with curiosity of nature. My kid, right? She loves to just walk around outside picking things up like rocks and dirt and giving them a good taste. She hasn't found anything particularly tasty yet, but she'll stumble upon the herb garden eventually.
We took her to the botanical gardens where they had their annual butterfly exhibit. She really enjoyed the photo opportunities.

Dela is also excited about moving north. Our last trip up there we stopped at Cabela's and she picked out a kayak. She's developing so many new skills.

Dela is just going to love running around those acres and acres of yard up in Traverse. Those little legs will get a workout checking out all that space. Darling pics!

Dela is so beautiful! Love the new pics. Best of luck with the move, sounds hectic. We are in inspection/repair negotiation hell right now.
